May 21 (Week13) Progress

we have changed our robot to fit what we are going to be graded for. This is a video and a picture to show how it looks.

May 16 (week 12)

We are done with the robot and are going to start our runs we hope to win at least one run of all the runs we are going to do.

May 12 (week 12)

We started started to make a robot for tug of war. To make the robot we need traction and weight , so that we don't get pulled that much.

MAY 9(WEEK 11)

Since Monday we've been figuring out what are robot is gonna be like since we're being graded on gear ratio,weight, and traction . We have the traction thanks to shayla and Carlos is planning on bring weight so we can add them during the challenge.

Unfortunately we couldn't do the racket ball lift challenge because things go more complicated like we couldn't get the wire for the claw didn't hold the ball inside, the arm part didn't go up all the way, and we had to change the arm sizes multiple times because it had to fit in the frame. We started taking the robot apart so we can do the tug of war challenge.

 So we did not get around to doing the ball challenge because we couldn't get the claw working properly, it cant hold the ball and the rod won't rotate in the motor so we plan on doin the challenge by the end of the week.

Masen taught us how to program the arm so all we need to do is fix the claw part and we're ready for the challenge. We got the arm and claw working and we're going to start practicing so we can get three balls in the racket.

APRIL 25th (WEEK 9)

Today we worked on making a counter balance for the arm so that the arm could raise up.

APRIL 24th (WEEK 9)

On Monday through Wednesday we were not in class due to testing. On Thursday we programmed the arm, but then we realized it was to heavy for the arm to raise. 

APRIL 14 (WEEK 8)

This week goals are to finish the ball challenge, add the new programs and to do the challenge by Thursday. We are finishing up the solidworks for this week and will be done by Friday. 

                              

April 11th (Week 7)

Today we are finishing up the arm for the next challenge. This arm will pick up a ball and trow it in a tube.

Today we plan on doing the arm challenge and by the end of this week we plan on getting halfway done the the part for the next challenge.

March 31st (Week 6)

OUR GOAL FOR THIS WEEK IS TO GET OUR ROBOT RUNNING WITH THE THE ARM AND READY FOR TUESDAY SO THAT WE CAN PASS OUR SECOND TEST. 

March 17th (Week 5)

By this week we plan to finish the arms and the gear Assembly. We also need to find some gears and a motor.

March 14th (Week 4)

We have finished our first test and passed, we are now taking the robot apart and rebuilding it so that we are ready for our second test.

March 10th (Week 4)

We got our batteries charged and our robot running. By the end of this week we hope to have our robot programmed and running to our steering type.

MARCH 7th (week 3)

We have completed our square bot

March 4th (week 3)

We have started to separate the pieces for the squarebot. By the end of this week we hope to complete the square bot and the solidworks.
